The religious people of Jesus’ day repeatedly demonstrated their unwillingness to humble themselves and receive God’s will for them, which was to repent and be forgiven of their sins. Therefore Jesus capitalized on another opportunity to teach a parable to communicate one very important truth: people refuse to accept the gospel, not because it isn’t attractive enough, but because they hate God.
