The church's
AWANA has been active for 25 years.
It meets every
Wednesday night from 6:30 P.M. until 8:10 P.M
September through April.
AWANA
club is divided into three age groups: Cubbies
are age 3 through pre-kindergarten, Sparks are
kindergarten through 2nd grade, and Truth and Training
is 3rd grade through 6th grade.
A
typical AWANA night begins with an opening in
the gym for all ages, followed by meetings of
the different
age groups. They then have counsel time
(Bible study), book time (sharing verses they
have memorized) and game time (group games)
spread throughout the night.
Every spring there is AWANA camp at Camp Elkanah (near La
Grande, Oregon) that any T & T member
may attend.
This year the
AWANA camp will be April 18 - 20, 2008.
Every AWANA
night the members can earn shares that can go
towards covering the cost of the AWANA
camp or the summer camp held at Camp Elkanah.
